Integrated Farming Systems

This is a six (6)-day intensive skills training course for farmers and farmer-entrepreneurs on planning and management of an integrated and diversified farm with agricultural projects ranging from crops (vegetables, fruits, rice/corn) production to aquaculture (tilapia hatchery and grow-out), livestock and poultry raising coupled with appropriate and sustainable technologies like composting (vermicomposting).

*depends on the farmers’ main crop as a result of TNA (can also include coconut, sugarcane)

Poultry Production

This is a two-day course, which focuses on the production, management and economics of poultry projects.

Fruit Crops Production

A two (2)-day course, which highlights the production and management of high value fruit crops (Durian, Pomelo, Guapple, Calamansi, Papaya, Banana). The course focuses on land-use efficiency and area maximization like the potentials for mixed/ intercropping of vegetables. CRTD’s Magsasaka-Siyentista (MS)- a program of DOST-PCARRD shall be involved in the course.

A two (2)-day introductory course on the production and management of backyard and semi-commercial vegetable projects. Also includes production technologies on Urban Agriculture and FAITH Gardening.
